Children are a gift from the Lord, not just to parents, but to society at large, and even to the Church. These are the future members of the church, the missionaries who will travel to that land which we cannot see – the distant future. It is therefore imperative for us to equip them with the gospel as the tool God has ordained for the salvation of men’s souls. It is of utmost priority to us at IBC that the children God has placed under our spiritual care hear the gospel themselves.
Salome Masunga and Hyrine Ongondo take time every Sunday to nurture these children in the ways of the Lord. They faithfully take them through the Scriptures every Lord’s Day, teaching them about the major Biblical themes of sin, righteousness, evil, God, salvation, Christ and eternity. It is with the hope of God saving His elect, even those who are yet under parental authority, in conjunction with the command to preach the gospel to every creature, that this work is even possible. We request that you join us in praying for the salvation of these children.
We occasionally have Vocational Bible Schools where children gather for one week during the holidays to be taught God’s word. Pray with us that the Lord be pleased to save some out of the labor of the Word we continue to have among them.
